* 1st July 2008, on Doctor's Day: honoured with the  Eminent Medical Person Award by the Delhi Medical Association

* received the Gaurav Bharat Sresht Samman for 2008

* 1st of October 2007, on Senior Citizens Day: honoured by the Distinguished Service Award by the Indian Medical Association

* 24th March 2002: received the Dr.P.N.Behl Foundation Award

* 29th September 2002: received the Shalimar Club Honour Award

Motivated by Dr.Ghosh's efforts, the residents of A-M & A-N Blocks, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, unite to save their neighbourhood park from being destroyed and replaced by an unsolicited multi-level parking lot. CLICK to see photographs of their peaceful protest on 8th June 2000

In May 2014, "Mahaan Vyaktitva jin per humain garv hai - Proud to be Indian", a book written by Professor Saksena, featuring portraits of famous Indians sketched by Dr. Ghosh, was launched at The School of Oriental & African Studies(SOAS) London, UK. click to watch a video of the book launch
